We have visited the store for years to just hold puppies and enjoy them we recently adopted one January 2016 every experience we've had at the store has been nothing short of exceptional the people are great our little puppy now 10 months old is wonderful and I would recommend this store to anybody

I bought a Beagle puppy "Max" from Petland Batavia and it is the best puppy I have ever owned. The owner was very helpful and was even able to provide photos of the puppy's parents and the rest of the litter. The owners are very involved and the puppies are all very well loved and cared for. Every time I go back to the store Max runs right up to the owner for hugs and kisses.

I used to work at petland in naperville.they didnt have no problems back three years ago.so i dont know what happend.maybe they just releasedthe store to two college kids that had alot of money and now thay want to go cheap.

I couldn' agree more! My family and i had a very similar experience at the petland on Higgins Road in Schaumburg. I'm glad somebody understands the pain we went through before our parrot was well.

I strongly suggest not buying anything from this store. We bought a puppy from the Batavia Petland in 2008. A few days after taking it home, we had to rush it to an emergency vet and we were told it was sick with pneumonia. They vet said that the puppy had to have been sold to us sick. All of our calls and attempts to talk to managers went ignored for months. When they finally did respond they blamed us for the dogs sickness and refused to accept full responsibility. From our research about this and other Petland stores in our area, it appears that our experience is a common one. If you do some research you will find that there are many grievances out there about Batavia Petland and the other Northern Illinois Petlands . They are complaining about sick dogs, contracts/ warranties not being honored, fraudulent breed claims and possible links to puppy mills. Instead of Petland, look up rescues at www.petfinder.com. Although animals at this particular location appear to be in good health. On a recent visit, after being bitten by a hamster- who would not let go of my finger, the employees ignored me and simply said "bad girl" to the hamster. I had to ask repeatedly for gauze and proxide, which they did not have, or even a bandaid. I was injuried by their animal, and they would not even help me.
