Basile High School provides a variety of educational, athletic and cocurricular programs. The school offers academic programs in consumer education, science, language arts, social studies and math. It offers education to students in grades five through 12. Located in Basile, La., the school also provides classes in English, physical education, biology, chemistry, American history and geometry. In addition, its curriculum includes algebra, study skills, and environmental and earth sciences. The school offers courses in business computer applications, desktop publishing and accounting. Its industrial arts department provides classes in carpentry, basic electricity and welding. The school has business, child nutrition, maintenance, personnel, special education, Title I and technology departments. It is a part of Evangeline Parish School Board.
