I did my undergraduate work at the University of Notre Dame where I was a varsity swimmer. After a few years working as a mental health technician, I went to medical school in my hometown at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Later, I went to New York for my Internal Medicine residency, completing three years at St. Vincent's Hospital Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan. There, I was selected to be Chief Resident and oversaw the training and education for hundreds of residents during my Chief Residency year. Additionally, I decided to stay at St. Vincent's Hospital for my Fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Afterward, I performed my Transplant Hepatology training at Mt. Sinai Hospital. I love the field of Gastroenterology and enjoy the diverse problems in the field. Having worked in a rural clinical practice, I am proud to say I give complete care. Since starting my training, and in seven years of clinical practice, I have performed over ten thousand Endoscopies and Colonoscopies. I am so excited to be a part of the St. Luke's University Health Network team. I am determined to deliver excellence in patient satisfaction and standards of care.
