painful and incompetent, charged me for things he didn't do.

Gary Burkhart tried to defraud my insurance company. He summited a claim indicating work done for gum disease. The insurance company reviewed the claim and felt that his service was not necessary as my teeth are in perfect health. Now he is sending me to collections. I specifically told them do not provide any work unless the insurance company pays for all or most. Beware of Mr Burkhart this looks like scamming.

He has a very nice office and I have never had a problem scheduling an appointment.

Dr. Burkhart is honest about what I need to have done and I really like that because I know that I am getting the best service possible.

I always like when Dr. Burkhart tells me what he is going to do right before he does it. I really appreciate it.

Dr. Burkhart is a nice guy. I have not had any problems during my appointments with him.

Initially the person that I spoke to over the phone was nice. However when I arrived at the office it all changed. The office does have a waiting room with toys but what they fail to tell you is that they don't allow small children in the examining room with you, and "I did ask prior". Dr. Burkhart was extremely rude! He rushed me through the exam. Didn't acknowledge me talking to him (for example, he kept his back turned the whole time I was talking to him as he was writing in my file). After several times calling his name, he then finally answered my questions, as if I was bothering him. ONE YEAR LATER I called today to ask questions regarding my file and for information in regards to having it sent. Lisa Marie (don't know her position there) was extremely rude!!! She told me that the Dr. ONLY SENDS A COPY OF THE FILE not the original because it's STATE LAW! In addition Lisa Marie also told me the Dr. CHARGES FOR A COPY of the X-RAYS ~ REGARDLESS IF YOU or YOUR NEW DENTIST requests it because that is ALSO STATE LAW! Well I went to PA State's site!! Bottom Line ~ NO IT IS NOT STATE LAW for either your file being kept by your prior Dentist nor them charging you for a copy being made of your X-Ray's ~ it's PREFERENCE!

DON'T BOTHER GOING EXTREMELY RUDE AND DECEPTIVE!!!

I went to him when I was 13 (I am now 30) and it was an awful experience and one that I have never forgotten. It was so traumatic that I still have anxiety when going to the dentist (especially for fillings). He was rude and insensitive. He told me to stop being a baby when I got upset from the pain and just continued to drill even though i was feeling significant pain.

You might think reading this that I wasn't used to going to the dentist and that i was over reacting, but prior to this experience i had extensive orthodontic work done (retainers, bionaters, braces, etc.) that required many teeth to be extracted, so I was not new to the dental experience and a simple filling should not have traumatized me to the point that it has!!!!
