I went shopping at a Pier1 Import store in Bakersfield and bought several dishes there priced individually. They were displayed next to the checkout counter under an "awesome" pricing sign. Later when I got home, I washed the dishes and removed the price sticker from underneath. I found two stickers, one on top of the other: one with the price I paid and the original price underneath which was a dollar less than what I had paid. I called and spoke with the assistant manager who told me that the store periodically adjusts the price on their merchandise up or down. So, buyer beware! The store has lost all credibility in my opinion and unless you think paying more is "awesome", I'd recommend that you shop elsewhere!
