American Kids has been "Building Healthy Kids" in Bakersfield since 1984 and is the largest private sports instruction provider in Kern County.  We are your one stop provider of kids activities whereby we save families time, money, and stress.
With some 4,000 to 5,000 students at any given time in our programs, American Kids is best able to provide your children with the choice of activities at the same, or near the same, time. Family discounts of 20% apply after the 1st class in the family whether that is includes more than one child our if it is one child taking several classes. Class enrollment can be done on line through our Parent Portal Registration or by calling us at 661-589-2100 and letting us help you find the right classes for your kids.
American kids has two locations with a total of 70,000 sq. ft. of indoor space to serve you.  Our NW Bakersfield facility is located at 3622 Allen Rd between Rosedale Hwy and Hageman Rd.  Our SW Bakersield facility is located at 4401 Ride St.  Only the swim lessons are just the NW facility.
We are members of US Swim School Association, USA Gymnastics, USA Taekwondo, US Spirit Association, Dance Instructors of America, and Safer 3 Drowning Prevention.  Locally we are associated with the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce and the NOR Chamber of Commerce.

My kids grew up here taking gymnastics tumbling, trampoline and cheerleading. Best place for kids.

Great Place to Take Kids in Summer & Camp

Great Place to take the kids during the Summer with Free Unlimited Classes all summer in everyone of their sports and an all or half day Sports Camp! Couldn't find a better place for the kids!

I really enjoy American Kids. Great choice of class times so that I could schedule both my kids at the same time in two different activities. The facility is incredible... great viewing for us parents. Staff is friendly and professional.
