On Oct 22nd I took my pet to Baylor for an evaluation of bad breath and a check up. Initially they recommended I put a breath freshener in her water. But after researching bad breath in dogs I found that this could be a symptom of other problems. After pushing the issue they finally agreed. They did a check up and blood work and found she had pancreatitis. Antibiotics and special food. Bill: 340.00. Made a follow up for the following Sat. On fri I called to see how much the follow up would be. I was told 20.00. When I arrived I reconfirmed the cost of the follow up blood work visit. I again was told 20.00. Upon check out, I'm now told the bill is 160.00. I said there must be some mistake. I explained that I was told yesterday it would be 20.00 and reconfirmed that while I just sat in the office. I was told the office visit was 20.00 but the blood work was 140.00. Well what did you think the follow up was for I asked. Did you think I was just coming in to visit ? Of course the follow up is for blood work. I was told " If you don't like it you can go somewhere else." I will. This is in my opinion a bait and switch. Beware of this place. I don't do business this way. It's not the money. It's the bait and switch business practice. I don't know what happened to this place but you've lost a loyal client.

My girlfriend took her dog there for a simple neuter. It's been a week and he is not doing well. He swollen and lethargic. Called the clinic several times and get no help from these people. Please don't ever take your pets there.

This is a reply about your worries. We encourage all clients whose pet have had surgery at our facility to call us if they have any questions or concerns about the surgical site. Female dogs have an ovarian hysterectomy performed thus there is no way she can get pregnant. There are 3 layers of sutures performed in closure (muscle, subcutaneous (SQ) tissue and skin. In addition, there are different patterns of sutures that can be performed. We also use surgical glue but add external sutures as a safety net to let us know if pet has gotten to incision. In small & thin dogs the SQ sutures may be visible as they lack the fat tissue to hide them. We use absorbable sutures as in human medicine which may change color with time as expected thus we can assure it was not fishing line

This was the worst spay or neuter I have ever seen! I took in my small chi winnie to be fixed. Horrible stiches thank god only a few! Four weeks later a knot of what looked and felt like fishing line worked its way thru the skin of her belly (yes really) and I had to cut it! Now I worry her tubes are not tied internally! What a mess. Dont take your pet!!
