Law Enforcement Bureau provides public safety and crime prevention services. The department is operated by Travis County Sheriff's Office, which is a member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. It operates a victim services division that offers counseling, crisis intervention, referral assistance and court support services. It intervenes in the cases of thefts, family violence, child abuse and serious assaults.
