Dr. Babak Kaviani received his M.D. from Shiraz Medical School, Iran in 1997. After moving to the United States, he continued his medical education in Podiatric Medicine and Foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery and graduated in 2005 from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. He went on to complete a surgical residency in Foot and Ankle Medicine and Surgery in Los Angeles, California. During his residency, Dr. Kaviani had the privilege of being the Chief Resident of the Baja Project for Crippled Children for two years. He traveled to Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador for surgical mission trips during these years. After completing his residency in 2008, Dr. Kaviani joined his wife, Liza, also a physician in Texas. Dr. Kavianis training has emphasized in pediatric foot and ankle care, as well as sports medicine and biomechanics. He is also trained in conservative and surgical management of clubfoot deformity, including Ponsettis method of casting.
