My son has been attending Tuto...

My son has been attending Tutor Time for over a year now. I am very happy with the quality of care he has received. Tutor Time is more than just a daycare facility; it is a nurturing educational environment. My son is engaged in different learning activities throughout the day. His teachers are very dedicated to helping students learn and grow. I love Tutor Time!

understaffed

Every single room is always at maximum capacity. They move toddlers to the infant room... infants to toddler rooms etc. In order to cram as many children as possible in their daycare meanwhile neglecting the children's needs because of it. The staff seems unhappy and I overheard some of them complaining about hours being cut. I confronted the director and she explained corporate set the work hours according to how many children were there last year... not this year. So if the amount of kids goes up... they don't balance it by increasing the hours they can have staff members work. This obviously means there WILL be classrooms overfilled

Infant Head Trauma

My 10 month old sons head was swollen so I took him to the doctor. Turns out he had a skull fracture. We have no clue on how got the skull fracture – we do not recall him falling at home. Playing it back – we recall one night when he was crying inconsolably – we believe he fell at Tutor Time earlier that day. While we believe it was accident – we are really disappointed on how the situation was handled. The director had called a few times to see how our son was but when we started asking questions, the calls stopped. We needed to know my sons demeanor because we had to meet with a neurologist and convey this information to him to see if there were symptoms that would point to brain damage and decide what medical actions needed to be taken. We asked her to call us back after she spoke to the teachers and she never returned our call. I called to see if the security cameras record because I wanted to see if my son fell. The cameras do not record (what a shame if you can never play back something). On top of all this – DCFS came to my house to investigate me for child abuse/neglect. While my doctors cleared me of any wrong doing – the fracture happened in an area that would suggest a fall – I was cleared and indirectly Tutor Time was cleared. While I do not know who called DCFS (I know my doctors did not because they said under no circumstance am I a child abuser) I believe Tutor Time called to cover themselves. I have been at Tutor Time for 4 years plus and it was really disappointing to see that they put the company first and did not care about the safety and well-being of my infant son. The day I was un-enrolling my children – the director told me she was instructed by the corporate office not to call me!! My child has a skull fracture and the daycare facility is instructed not to call me – so the question is – what are they hiding???? I was pleased with this facility for years but when I really needed them they disregarded me and my son. If you have children enrolled in this facility or are thinking about enrolling your children, please think twice.

Great place

This is a wonderful place. My child went there for Preschool and is now in 2nd grade and reading at a 4th grade reading level, in honors Math and exceeding in all other subjects. I have to give credit to Tutor Time. ALL the staff there care and do a great job. I no longer need care, but if I ever did in the furture - no questions asked Tutor Time is where we would go. Keep up the good work!

Think Again

This facility is not the best place for your children. Ratios are always off and they were recently cited for Corporal Punishment, Ratios being off and insufficient background checks on their staff. The directors are more concerned about their bonuses then the care of your children and are always scrimping on supplies which is ridiculous. All other centers in the area charge around the same and have more robust programs. The infant room is tiny, not enough room and children are always sick in there.
