As a regular visitor to Helga's Deli I can't believe the following review is real. By far, this is the best German cuisine I've ever had. Whenever I'm in the area I stop by to enjoy the menu items and experience great service! I recommend Helga's for anyone who wants to experience one of the BEST RESTAURANTS in Colorado. Find out for yourself and you will be pleased

This was absolutley the worst German meal I have ever had. Service was OK but the staff was there for their minimum wage pay and that was it. Tips are kept by the restaurant and not given to the staff so service lacked enthusiasm. 6 ADULTS AND ONE CHILD COST $190. For real? Two of our party finished their meals but one of those threw up 7 miles away and the other felt sick. Filthy place, poor quality of food, fair wait staff and horrible decor makes this a place to avoid. Chef Huber makes horrible food that is either frozen or refrigerated and reheated as orderd. Bland food. Avoid!

I visit Aurora often and went to Helga's in Hoffman Heights only to buy chocolates, or lunch meats. I just went over to the new location by the mall and sat down to eat. I was extremely anxious to indulge in some German food and was highly disappointed. The schnitzel was far from authentic German cuisine. The German potato salad was overcooked and a mealy mush. Potato pancake, applesauce..YUCK. I I lived in Germany for some time and went to many of Gausthaus or even carnivals that had better food. I enjoyed the chocolates but that was it.

Sure, you can get a decent brat anywhere- even in front of the hardware store. But when I need a brat fix I seek out Helga's for a couple of reasons. There's nothing like an authentic German brat whichever flavor you choose, but the real secret is the roll. I can't believe what a difference top quality bread makes for a brat. It doesn't hurt to have authentic saurkraut either. It's hard to pass up desert at Helga's too. They have an "in house" bakery chef that makes outstanding tortes. That's German for cake.

Your trip to Germany probably has a lot of memories of good food, right? Well, I found that much of that same charm is available right here in Aurora. Whether it's the meats, the noodles, the cabbage, sauerkraut or beer, it is all there. Run by real Krauts too. Check it out.Achtung!

It isn't hard to see why this is a popular place to eat. The food is always great and they have a very pleasant, proffessional staff. The best German restaurant I have been to in my travels. Thanks to Herb, Helga, Stephon, Susan and all the staff. You make me feel like family.

Family owned restaurant with friendly service and excellent food. You get large portions of good home cooked authenic German food. The restaurant is nicely appointed. Has a great German deli and small gift shop that is well stocked. Well worth the trip!!

As a former military brat I spent 10 years of my life living in Frankfurt, Mannheim, and Hedielberg, Germany. For years I have longed for the German food that I knew in my childhood only to be disappointed from the mediocre attempts of the food from restaurant to restaurant. That is until I went to Helga's. This is hands down the best German food in the United States!! I went back to Germany a year ago, and I would even venture to say that Helga's is better than all of the places I ate during my week long visit. Keep up the great work Helga's, we love your food and hospitality!

We love coming here for real authentic German food. The restaurant is great and so is the deli/market. During the holidays they have great candies to put in the kids' stockings.

This restuarant has consistantly good food and has for years and years.
