BUYER BEWARE! I hope your project goes better than this one did for me. In my experience, the actual amount of work delivered was overpriced by about 30%. Now the cost to go back and repair would be about 200%.

When it started looking like the work I requested didn’t match the work Bernie’s Drywall was delivering, I asked questions in a calm, friendly manner. I was given vague, friendly answers and Bernie told me he’d provide additional information.

The additional information, warranty, and copies of insurance were never provided. He also asked for key to my home. This was unprofessional in my opinion and also seemed an odd request when access was always available even with short notice.

Then Bernie asked me to write the check to him personally and NOT to the business. Unprofessional. While I’m writing the check, he tells me that he’d never been so insulted by anyone ever in his whole, entire life because I asked questions. Seriously. Here’s a guy with his hand out to get paid in full even though nothing’s been resolved. And he makes this type of comment. Grow a pair.

To top things off, it took me several hours of cutting and cleaning texture off of window sills, out of the electrical outlets, and scrubbing it off the floor. Nice.

I thought about taking this to small claims court. Since it was a smaller job, it didn’t seem worth the continued aggravation of dealing with Bernie’s Drywall. Total DB.
