The Sun Dial is a must try if you live in or visit Atlanta... The ambience it's self is worth the cost! The drink selection, food selection and service is absolutely 5 stars...

When visiting Atlanta there are a few things that you have to experience and one of those things are dining at The Sun Dial Restaurant Bar & View. This restaurant takes your dining experience to a new level. The restaurant sits 723 feet in the air on top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza. If viewing the Atlanta skyline from this level wasn't enough the restaurant moves around in a circle to allow you to view the entire thing. If you've ever gone to Vegas this place will remind you of Stratosphere Roof top only you want see people jumping off the side. I went here for brunch (my favvvvvvvvvvv) and really enjoyed myself. The view and food was amazing. If you want to get even closer to the action then you can go to the view level and it's $8 for adults an $4 for children ages 6 to 12. The hours are daily from 10am to closing.

We went to dinner at Sundial for our anniversary weekend. I was really excited and expected a similar experience to that of Top of the World in Vegas that was spectacular. As they both offer 360 degree views I anticipated a beautiful evening. That wasn't the case.

When we arrived the staff clearly had other things on their minds and overlooked us several times. To the point I addressed the waitress about her lack of attention to which she had a very snarky remark. We should have left, but gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. We managed one cocktail in 45 minutes. We had to leave our table repeatedly to track down wait staff, had to ask several times for water, and the meal overall was subpar. They do have a gorgeous view and it's sad the service and food just don't equal the view. It has potential, but is sorely lacking in flavor and service compared to other restaurants in Atlanta.

The Sun Dial restaurant is a great place to celebrate a special event. Perched high atop the Westin downtown, the restaurant revolves 360 degrees over the course of an hour to showcase Atlanta and surrounds. While the views are the highlight, the food is also quite good.

Amazing atmosphere and panoramic views of Atlanta and the sunset. Delicious food. Only negative is pulsating music from bar upstairs.

Go for a drink and enjoy the view. Be prepared for bad service, weak wine list and mediocre food.....ok, it has incredible views...
