My family's experience with this business was terrible.
From the initial contact email I sent that was never responded to or even found ( I used the email link from their website), to the final day when we went to pick up our loved ones ashes, I felt like I could've been signing for a FedEx package or something, and I had to ask for our loved ones personal belongings or we would have left without them as far as they were concerned.
We never met with the Director William Meadows, which I expected, but almost everyone we spoke or met with was someone different. I felt as though I had to repeat our circumstances over and over.
I would have thought that maybe one person would oversee the services of a particular family, so they would know what's going on.
The online information and service request form that was completed and submitted seamed just a waste of time because we were still asked for all the same information, as if they didn't even receive the information.
And above all, the lack of empathy towards our family made me wonder a lot of things.
A quick, "We're sorry for your loss", with no eye contact or even looking in my direction was unacceptable. One conversation I had with a woman regarding business hours and no one answering the phone, turned really rude. As if I was bothering her.
If we hadn't had to go through so much to get the signatures required, we definitely would have pulled out and went with another funeral service.
To think I was referred to this business by someone that works at one of their other locations in Albany, Georgia.
Apparently, they are nothing alike.
