I stopped in at Impression Bridal on Barrett Parkway about two hours before my appointment at David's Bridal. I had been to neither places before,but I am glad I went to both. When I walked in at Impressions I was stunned by how many dresses they had. It was really nice how they assigned me a consultant and I didnt even have an appointment. However, When she asked what I liked and I told her, I was only "Allowed" to look a certain racks of dresses. When I pulled 3 to try on, I was somewhat bothered when she told me my maid of honor wasnt allowed to help me try them on, SHE had to do it. I'm not one to dress down in front of people so I was very upset at this point. Not only did she spend the whole time I was there telling me "oh this is your dress, this is your dress" all she did was trash davids bridal the whole time. I understand that they are competition, but how professional is it to trash the other? Not only that, but she "Reassured" me that I was be completely disappointed at David's because their standards were that of "Trash" I left the store without a dress, feeling as if I had not even been given the chance to make up my own mind. I felt like she was making it for me (Shelly, I belive is her name) I made it to my appointement at David's 30 minutes early, they all welcomed me with smiles. I filled out my wedding info, met my consultant,and got a tour around the store and shown where my fitting room was and where the bathroom was,(I wasnt allowed to use Impressions restroom) My consultant at David's was "Kim R" she was by far the nicest woman I have met. She didnt pressure me to buy anything, she let my maid of honor help me in them, she let me pull ANY dress I liked, and even picked a few she thought I would look good in. Even AFTER my appointment time was up, she was still so much help. I walked out of davids bridal with my BEAUTIFUL dress,tiara,veil,under garmets,and jewelry, along with a SMILE. The staff at David's was so much better than the rude woman I dealt with at Impressions. I can honestly say that she was by far the most rude woman I have ever met. And I wouldnt want ANYONE to be talked to the way I was. I definantly DO NOT recommend going here for your wedding needs.
