Do not use ever! I would give no stars if it were an option!!!

What a horrible experience! I met the sales rep and received a quote to move 2.5 miles. In reviewing the quote he covered the insurance options. I was given the impression to take replacement cost insurance would double the cost. Because of this I went with the standard option.

On the day of the move 3 men showed up to handle the move. The man that appeared to be in charge was nice, however the younger guy could have cared less to be there and the other looked like he was coming off an all night binge. When arriving at the new location they unloaded a new bedroom suite on hand trucks with no protection and only one guy handling the dresser. The dresser was damaged in several places, as well the bed frame, chest of drawers, and one bed table. My wife called me at work and I arrived as they were leaving. The man in charge assured me they would handle repairing or replacing the damaged furniture. After the owner arrived ( after several phone calls) and took notes of the damage he left me with the impression my furniture would be repaired. What I received was a my word against theirs and accidents happen. I received a check in the mail for $300.00 to make repairs on a $3500.00 bedroom suite about a year old.

Basically told take it or leave it.



I would not hire this company to move a DOG HOUSE, much less anything I care about.

What a terrible company.



So the story goes: they were delivering something to me from http://overstock.com... somehow they had the wrong contact info for me (even though Overstock later verified my contact information was correct in their system); upon discovering this, I called them to give them my correct phone number. It took literally 4 phone calls and voicemails before I gave up and called Overstock to "assist" in getting them my correct contact information. Once they had it, they called the next day to schedule the delivery. This is about 1 week after they had my stuff sitting in their warehouse. So, we schedule the delivery for sometime between 11-3pm today 3/18.



I leave the office early at 10:45 to get home in time for the delivery. They had given me a number to call the day before or the day of to get a more accurate time. I called this number 6 times today and not once did I get someone to answer the phone or give me an ETA. How do these people stay in business? Again, I called overstock to facilitate and found out they had actually moved the delivery window to 3pm-7pm. Great. So, they showed up at 6:40 and had THE WRONG STUFF. In the end they had a wrong item sent to them. But, within the 12 DAYS IN SAT IN THE WAREHOUSE, COULD SOMEONE HAVE LOOKED AT THE PACKING SLIP!??! Unbelievable.



As I type all of this out, I'm beside myself. Believe it or not, there are other details I have omitted. I just want this whole ordeal to be over with. Great job Interstate Moving, bang up work. I'd call you to complain myself, but since no one answers the phone its probably better to just do this instead.
