I had some damage to a fence last year and looked in the phone book to find a contractor to make the necessary repairs. As one can imagine, randomly selecting a contractor from the phone book is a little scary. Well, I can testify that I was pleasantly surprised when I contacted Athens Fence.



My fence had been in disrepair for some time. I had been contemplating replacing the entire thing but wasn’t sure if that was the correct option at the time. I met with Athens Fence and after a few minutes of conversation, I felt like I could whole-heartily trust Athens Fence and felt comfortable with their representative. He explained several different options from repair to replacement and didn’t push either over the other to make more money which I appreciated.



The fence was replaced within a week and has not looked as good or been as sturdy as it is today in some time. Athens Fence was in and out and their employees went out of the way to be courteous and accommodating to my wife and myself. I think one guy even helped her carry in our groceries one day.



I highly recommend Athens fence for prompt and friendly service. This outfit is fairly small and local which means they don’t treat you as a number but still have the one-on-one relationship most larger companies have long since forgotten.

This was a legitimate business operation. I received courteous and prompt service with very professional results. I would recommend this business for any of your fencing needs. We got a great fence for a good fair price. I was pleased with the prompt professional and courteous service of both the owner and the workers who came to complete the project.

We first called this company to get an estimate. Mr. Akridge spoke to us over the phone on a weekend. Our first impression was that this was someone we could trust, someone who would do the work right, and someone who would still be around if we needed him even after the project was finished. We knew he would not let us down.



Our job took two days build as he said it would and provided the sound reduction as well as privacy we had wanted. Our house is off of Broad St. and we have had nothing but compliments about the fence. Strangers have even stopped and knocked on our door to ask us who built our gorgeous fence. It was exactly what we wanted and are glad we chose them to do the work instead of another company.



Since the job has been finished, we stay in contact with Mr. Akridge, who on several occasions has done other work for us. He has always returned our calls promptly, and even saved us hundreds of dollars on materials we needed for ourselves, without making a penny off of it.



Our advice is that if you have the choice of having this company to do work for you or another company, even if their price may be a little bit higher, it will definitely be worth it in the long run. I have lived in the Clarke County area for over twenty five years and would not recommend anyone else for your fencing needs.
