I used to go to this clinic and EVERYONE is kind, gentle, patient and professional. The only reason I no longer see these dentists is because they are not on my insurance's preferred list. The lady dentist pulled my teeth and I didn't even feel it. The male dentist took care of my dentures and I was pleased with the results. It is true that most dentists want patients to keep their good teeth for as long as possible. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with milking the patient for more money. This clinic is owned and operated by the Federal Government and the dentists get paid a set salary do not get paid extra for performing extra work on a patient's teeth. I would love to be able to have them as my dentists again.

I went to this dentist because there pricing was good. I'll never go there again I went and had my tooth pulled. He was very rough, would not stop if I told him it was hurting and did not give me any pain medication. So now I am sitting here with my mouth throbbing and no medication!

I don't know who that lady saw when she went there, but the female dentist I saw there was wonderful. I have never met a nicer staff and even my kids said, "mommy I wanna go back there, and I am not scared to get my teeth filled if she does it". I am sorry that she had such a bad experience. I don't have alot of money either for dental care for me and my three children because I am a full time student at UNCG, but even if I did I wouldn't go anywhere else because we were treated so kindly there. The female dentist laughed along with her assistants like they were best friends, everyone in there seem to love thier jobs, I will continue taking my kids there even when I graduate just to see these dentist!

Somehow the dentist and I got off to a bad start. My first visit I asked to have all my teeth pulled. Most are gone and the ones that are left are bad. She looked at my teeth and said she can't pull them because my teeth are just too good to pull. I thought to myself are you kidding me? She then said she'd work on them and fix them up. LOL, yeah how many thousands would that cost? I'm too old to worry about my teeth anymore. I told her I just want them out. No she couldn't pull them she said again. OK , fine, thank you anyway so I left.

About a month or two later as I was eating I had a tooth that began hurting . I was telling it to a friend and he said to go back there and get it pulled. He said they pulled his tooth.I thought why not. I can at least get this one pulled. I made an appointment but on that date as I sat there in the chair waiting to get it removed the dentist came in and said " now mrs so and so I told you I wouldn't pull your teeth". I said I only wanted this one pulled because it's hurting. She said no again. At first I thought she was really kidding me this time and she is going to pull it but she said she would fill it. I told her that I don't want it filled , I am going to get all my teeth pulled later and there is no reason to fill it then turn around and pull it.That is just throwing money away. Dang, she just didn't get it. She still said she would not and I could go somewhere else and let them pull it . I was shocked and a little hurt and so I left with the hurting tooth. I don't know when I'll get it out or who to go to.

This place is supposed to help low-income people. To get another dentist to pull it would cost over two hundred dollars , there it would have been less than half that.

Between my two visits to Merce dental I was in an automobile accident and in the hospital for 18 days. I almost died. I was cut open and my spleen removed. I had to learn to eat and walk again. My hospital bills are well over one hundred thousand dollars. I don't have the money to pay such bills and I don't have the money to get my teeth fixed now.

The dentist could have pulled that one tooth. I kinda think if I had been a man she would have pulled it . My male friend seems to get treated with more respect there than I ever did.
