Photographer Janice Leach is an artist at heart. Oil paintings, portrait drawings, ceramics, mosaic tile, interior decorating and design are but a few of the ways in which the artist in Janice has come out in past years. Today and in recent years, Janice?s creative expressions are being captured through the eye of her camera. Specializing in digital photography, Janice uses a professional SLR camera to ensure the highest quality images. Janice states: ?Digital is the wave of the future and offers so much more. The number of pictures the photographer can take is greatly increased with digital because one does not have to consider the cost of film and developing. The LCD screen on the back of the digital cameras allows the photographer to see the picture just taken, thus enabling one to make necessary adjustments. Clients also see their pictures immediately, rather than having to wait days or weeks as when film was taken into the lab for developing. Now clients need only w ait the few minutes it takes to download and rotate images on a computer. I love the instant gratification and so do my clients!? Janice strives to embellish her subjects by the use of different lighting effects. Prior to one job photographing models at a fashion show, Janice spent the better part of a week perfecting the studio light setup that would create a ?lens flare? effect. Brilliant spots of different colored light streamed down behind the models against a velvety black backdrop.
