I don't usually frequent this type of place because I prefer saving up my money and making purchases in full. However, I recently got news from my workplace that I needed to go on a business trip for several weeks and although a laptop wasn't required, I wanted one and did not own one. I went in full disclosure and was very honest with the employees that I was essentially looking for a laptop to rent for 3-4 weeks for my out-of-state trip. The employee was a bit gruff, but otherwise polite, and went in back to grab his manager to clarify the situation.

When the manager came out, he was extremely rude to me and made a comment about how "sketchy" my scenario sounded. When I confronted him about his comments he brushed it off as though he was talking about someone else. Trust me, I wasn't born yesterday. Not to mention, the manager came off every bit of the sleazy salesman I would expect to be working in a store known for ripping people off.

I walked out and headed to Walmart to purchase a laptop, where I was helped by several very kind and knowledgeable employees in electronics--and I highly suggest you do the same. If nothing else, at least find a rental company that will treat you with dignity, as any customer deserves.

I rented, until I owned, a couch and loveseat from this place. I had no problems. Then I rented, until I owned, a flat screen tv. Again, no problems. Thinking I was dealing with a reputable company, I decided to rent to (hopefully) own a queen size bed. MISTAKE!! Little did I know, it had been used and had BED BUGS!! They spread to other parts of my apartment. I had to spend $1100.00 to have my apt. heat treated. I of course, had NRTO remove the bed before the heat treat. I let NRTO know about the situation. Told them I found a tag on the mattress that stated, "DO NOT SELL" and let them know how much the heat treat cost and that I expected reimbursement for the $ I put into the bed AND the $ for the heat treat. I was told, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do. There's no proof it was from our mattress..."

THIS, my friends, is how they treat loyal, paying, long-term customers! BEWARE!!

I will NEVER shop another rent to own place the rest of my life. I'd do without first!!
