DO NOT GO HERE! First off, the smell was bad when walking in. It looked and smelled as thought the place hadn t been cleaned in months. We refused to sit on the furniture, lol! We arrived for our 8PM appointment on time for our Christmas pictures and was told they were behind and it would be a 45 minute wait; THE PLACE WAS PACKED and there were about 5-6 photographers!! But only working 2 studios at a time. So, we decided to wait with our 2yr old and 6yr old. At almost 9PM, we finally took our pictures with the Christmas backdrop, but it was only a few shots. The photographer, Shonda, stopped and told us we had to wait to go into another room to take more pictures with a different backdrop. We were tired and was wondering/debating on why do we have to go in another room if we came in to take Christmas pictures. It was after 9pm, so we told her we only wanted to take Christmas and did not want to take the rest. We will purchase the Christmas ones. It was late, the kids were restless and there were so many people in there. We told her we just wanted to purchase the Christmas ones. She told us we couldn t do that and we had to take more pictures because that s just the way it is and we needed to just work with them. She also said, the person who booked my appointment told us that it was 60 shots for the session (as if we knew it would take some time to do). I told her, I understand that, but I also had an 8 o clock appointment and was on time, but was told to wait 45 minutes. It s after 9pm, our kids our hungry and we do not want to take more pictures, we just want to buy our Christmas ones. I told her, we would be helping them out if we just picked those and leave so that others can take their pictures, etc... My husband even told her, we didn t want to take anymore pictures and if we did, he was not going to purchase any of those, so we would be wasting time taking them. She was not professional at all; she told us, they had to do 60 shots and basically, that s that and we just need to work with them and they book appointments every 10 minutes. EVERY TEN MINUTES!?!?! Wow. All during the conversation, she s giving the vibe of oh well, your problem and then she walks away and she shrugs her shoulders like I don t care . So, my husband said Let s go . We don t have to take that type of attitude when it s our money. We walked out. The next morning (Saturday), we took a chance and went to JCP Portraits for a walk-in appointment. They booked us for 11:30AM and we took pictures there. They were very professional and polite with us and the kids. The place was clean and welcoming. Mind you, this was a Saturday morning and people were ahead of us. It was an easy process with them. We started at 11:30AM and viewed pictures around 12pm. That s with a stubborn 2yr!! A huge contrast to Portrait Innovations...even price wise. Your best bet is to avoid Portrait Innovations at all cost. They overbook on purpose and keep you waiting so you can work on their time...on top of all the unprofessionalism with the photographers.
