Mirror Gate Integrative Therapy combines my 20 years of education in movement, structural alignment, and postural analysis to help others discover what they may find as freedom in movement, poise, athletics, and posture I enjoy helping others discover connections that allow their potential to manifest. My motto is, 'No one can push you through the door, but through experience and an openness to discovering connections, we are able to point to the doors and paths of freedom which we have discovered.'
Structural Integration is one of the most comprehensive hands-on approaches i have seen in making lasting physical and psychological changes in a person. Technical training at the Guild For Structural Integration and the Rolf Institute has led to a deeper understanding in my practice.  I was introduced to the concept of fascial manipulation in 2003 while studying Wujifa under the founder of the art as a closed door student a traditional approach to teaching higher levels of an art form in a personal setting for a handful of students so as to ensure the transmission of subtleties which are difficult to convey to larger faculties of students. In the study of Wujifa, we learn to play with the various fascial connections throughout the body and utilize those connections in movement.  Through my experience I have learned that holding patterns in the musculature are sometimes the most accessible entryway to healing. I have studied Internal Martial Arts and many other healing and awareness practices since 1993 with my primary focus being on health and wholeness. I have experience in many forms of healing arts such as: Wujifa, Qigong, Tai Chi, Zhan zhuang and various forms of Kung Fu including Bagua, Yi Quan, Ninjutsu, Baji Quan, etc. The integration of physical therapies with my life is very important to me.       Helping others discover connections that allow their potential to manifest is something i have always enjoyed. I trained in kung fu at Northern China Shaolin, studying Baji Chuan, Tai chi, Zhan zhuang meditation (standing meditation) and Qigong, under the tutelage of respected monks in 2003.  In 2005, i returned to China and studied Yi Quan under the grandmaster of the art: Yao Chenguan, from whom i received personal, one-on-one instruction.  During my stay i trained daily in various health and kung fu exercises which emphasize pung jin the chinese concept of maintaining a fullness  through fascial connection. 12 daily hours of rigorous training was my regimen during my stay in Beijing. I have accumulated over 2,500 hours of standing meditation since practicing in 2003. Community involvement is important to me and for the past 10 years i've offered weekly, public classes in Wujifa, standing meditation and Chi Kung at parks, senior centers, local libraries and community centers. I enjoy sharing my understanding of health and the arts and discovering with others who are interested in making both physical and emotional connections.
