I followed my barber to this location after he moved away from where he was working, which was 2 blocks from my home. Now I drive 30 minutes to get to Village Barbers, passing a number of barbers along the way. The point is Kevin gives a great haircut, and will throw in a free travelogue if you ask him where he's been! He and the owner, Rose, have no trouble amping up the chit-chat, and it's sort of fun to stop in and see what's up in the shop that day! In some salons I have been to the employee drama going on is thick enough to cut with the beautician's scissors. Not here. There is too much frivolity going on to bother getting deep over someone's dysfunction! Maybe I like it here because the vibe and look reminds me of the shop I would go to in my early years. Plus, since they don't call it a "Day Spa" or such piffle you can get all the same skill and outcome with your hair and save maybe 40%. I don't need a toe rub while I'm getting my hair cut anyway! I noticed a little sign with some Scripture on the wall and thought, wow, here's a place that still remembers values. Imagine that?! Go get your hair done. I think you'll like it.

My husband and two boys have been going to this barber shop for over 10 years, and have never received a bad haircut. They are professional, quick and do a great job. They have always been happy with the cut they receive, because they are asked before hand what they want. They will never go anywhere else, and why should you if you are getting the service you ask for!! Have recommended them many times to friends!!

The business had a sign out side that read, " $12 first time customers". I went in and asked for a hair-cut. A very typical hair-cut for a male. When it was done they did not honor their advertisement and charged me $17.00. I argued it and they said it was for senior citizens. No where on the sign said senior citizens. I pulled out my credit card and they said, "We are a cash only business. We do have an ATM you can use". The ATM charges you $2.50 service charge. Again the business does not tell you they are a cash only business. Luck for me I had some money in the car.

The place is a sham. Any business that does not have a cash register or take credit cards does not run a legit business. They are lairs and misleading. The barber did not even cut my hair like I wanted. He ran the clippers over my head and gave me a "buzz cut". I will never go to this place again and neither should anyone else.
