Shupert's Cabinet Shop was a sub-contractor from my General Contractor. The job was to build a full wall entertainment center, The job was scheduled to be completed in one month. The job took 4 months and was not completed at time of installation. After 2 additional weeks of repairs 4 out of the 5 lights work and the 5th light has no wiring attached to it. I paid balance in full with the promise that the 5th light would be completed the following week. The owner Dan has not returned any phone calls in three weeks and I have since hired an electrician to complete the wiring. Sub par finish work and no communication made this a horrible experience.

I read these reviews that were 7 years old and after meeting the owner of Shuperts I thought I would give them a try. He seemed very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I had a very bad experience with a previous cabinet maker and was looking for someone local that could help finish up my kitchen...doors, drawers, trim, fillers, etc. He gave me a very good price and said he could be finished within my time frame of 2 weeks. I kept in contact with them and dropped off the paint and other odds and ends and asked if we were still set for a Friday morning. He said, yes, around 10 or 11 stop on by. Friday came, I stopped by the shop and my door to be used for the pattern was still sitting in the same place it was two weeks prior and nothing was completed. Nothing!!! He tried to apologize..All I wanted was someone to be professional and if he couldn't do the job, just let me know and not waste my time. He knew we had been without a kitchen for 10 months and all they did was add to our frustration. Additionally, my white painted door and fluted trim were sitting below a table where a black cabinet was being painted and there was black oil paint residue on my newly painted doors! Would not recommend to anyone.

We trustingly hired Shupert's even after their references' responses weren't so great -- mainly because we routinely saw the family through a weekly activity that both of our children attended, and when we discussed our concerns they replies made us believe that they would make good on their promises. They finished the contracted job, but we had to dog them with phone calls all the way, and the promised completion date was not honored - they were REALLY late finishing. Their cabinetry is beautiful, and the prices are fair, but we are finding now that shortcuts were taken (we've been repairing them ourselves), and during construction a lot had to be redone. I have a seam showing on the counter, but I won't bother calling them for warranty work - I'll get someone else to fix it. They almost always show up late or not at all, ignore calls, and have no respect for customer's time. I filed a BBB complaint, but they never even responded to the BBB's letter. Toward the end of the job we asked them to do one more piece to match what they had done. They agreed to do the piece, but then pulled out, bluntly telling me that it was too small to bother with and they had bigger jobs going on now. A counter care kit and a piece of crown molding trim promised to us have never been delivered either. I love my kitchen and it's beautiful, but if I had to do it again I'd hire a different contractor - even if I had to pay more.

Took our $3,000 deposit and after months of waiting we canceled and ask for our deposit back. The check is always "in the mail" but never seems to reach us.
