If your child wants to learn, this place is golden! Very talented instructor, but he is there to teach not babysit your child. My daughter has learned so much from him in the past 3 months, and he has never raised his voice to her. She is there to learn and he knows that. She listens and does what he tells her to do, and she stays focused!

She and I are both pleased.

I didn't know this place was going to be this bad. The price was right, so I thought I would try it and I got a good recommendation from a friend who took a trial class. Hence after the trial class her granddaughter didn't want to go back to the place and now I see why!

This is horrible place. There aren't many instructers for all the kids they have. The instructers yell at the kids and are rough with handling the kids at timed. One boy was leaning on the ramp to watching the other kids and the coach told him to move out the way, the boy did, then he proceeded to lean on the ramp again and the coach jecked his shirt and pushed him back and said" I told you to move out of the way!" The boy did the same thing one more time and the coach said, " If you get kicked in the face don't come running to me."

They don't do any stretches to warm the kids up, which isn't good a child could injure themselves with out properly warming up the body. The preschoolers are yelled at when doing handstands and handled roughly at times. One little preschool girl was lifted off the ground and shaked to straighten out her arms and look at the floor.

There are too many kids in gym at times that the teachers can't keep track and some kids will actually veer off from the groups and do there own thing unmonitered.

There was a 4 year girl was just sent over to walk on the full size balance beam with no teacher there to monitor her and another time there was 2 kidswalking on the balance beam at the same time unattended. One parent called out, "There are 2 kids on the balance beam!" and no one did nothing. Some of the parents just watched and helplessly just the boys were walking on it.

The kids aren't shown how to do exercises properly like forward roles, backward roles, and cartwheels. They are told just to do it. The instructors don't like the parents to say anything or get involved either. One grandmother told me to pull my daughter out. She's been taking her granddaughter there for a year and she told me how much the place has gone downhill and the coach is a jerk.

My daughther who is a preschooler was at first excited and loved it, but after 8 classes she lost interest and I asked her why and she told me because the teachers were mean. Now we going to another facility that is caring and use a gentle approach with the kids. They actually do stretches and fun exercises to build their strength for future advanced gymnastics. The teacher at the new facility told me that Flip Flops shouldn't have preschoolers doing handstands because they don't have the should strength in order to do it and preschoolers should not be walking on an olympic size balance beam, but a floor one for preschoolers. At flip flops they had my daughter on the olympic one for one class, then a smaller one for the next and the following class after that the floor one. I should have known something wasn't right then.

Do your research. For all the abuse they put the kids through they don't prepare the kids for anything unlike some schools that have teams. It's just a place to learn gymnastics for fun, with that being the case they don't need to be that mean to the kids. And if you don't believe me come see for yourself around 4 to 5. The preschooler class is on Thursday.
