Sales staff has very limited knowledge of products, and seem more interested in showing each other pictures on their phones than actually helping customers. Service is slow and didn't have my repair ready when it was promised.

I have nothing but good things to say about Performance Bike in Ann Arbor.



I have an older Travel Trac trainer which had a broken part. All it took was one phone call to Performance Bike for them to order the part which arrived within a few days.



I took the trainer to the store & Mike installed the part while I waited. All of this great service cost me exactly nothing.



That is really amazing customer service.

I went to Performance Bicycle on Oak Valley in Ann Arbor, MI to purchase a bike for my son's 11th birthday.



A terrible mistake!!



Upon returning to pick up the bike after the free assembly, I was refused my purchase unless I agreed to sign a contract releasing them from all liability! Not only did they want me to sign, but they also demanded my 11 year old son, sign it as well!

The manager explained this was to prevent law suits should something be wrong with the bike. After telling me it was assembled by HIS staff.



The store has NO posted signs indicating a contract is necessary before the bike is released. There was no statement on the receipt, nor did the salesperson mention that I would not be allowed to take my purchase out of the store unless this contract was signed.



They seemed genuinely shocked that I chose a refund rather than be subjected to their contract. I find it hard to believe this is a legal practice!



I do not want to do business with a company that tries to manipulates a parent to sign away their rights or disappoint their child.



This store is a definite NO GO!
