1 star is too high a rating for this service department. We needed tires on a vehicle. We were told by the service technician, Nathan, there was a model that was eligible for $100 rebate. 2 months later with Nathan's self proclaimed "best effort", Nathan has yet to produce the rebate as promised.

Customer Beware

I was traveling through Des Moines when my air conditioner went out in my '99 Lincoln. I pulled off the freeway in Ankeny and miraculously found Dewey Ford. The service agent was able to prioritize my repair and within 2 hours the a/c specialist mechanic had the new a/c installed. Worth a 5-star rating. Now for the -4 star rating. The service agent estimated the repair at $1,200.00 to which I agreed to. The estimate include 1.0 hour of labor to analyze the problem, 2.9 hours to install the new compressor, etc., and 1.4 hours to evacuate and replace the Freon. Now my math says the total labor was estimated to be 5.3 hours. Guess what, the actual bill was $1,199.34, just $0.67 under the estimate. Coincidence, not likely. The actual labor charged was 2-1/2 times the actual 2 hour time. Coincidence, no. It's exactly what their "book" says it should be. Is their book of standard repair times accurate? Obviously not. Is the dealer justified charging 2-1/2 times the actual time? No, that's price gouging. Would I ever go back? Not in my lifetime. Would I recommend you going there? Not in your lifetime.

Ripped of and got the run around

The finance guy ripped me off. I declined all the extras yet he squeaked in $799 worth and said the higher monthly was because of tax title and license. General manager refunded me that money plus tax but having a HORRIBLE experience with the service department now. They tell me "something happened to my car" but not specifically what it is and they have had it for four days just to replace the wheels. Awful experience.
