We took our 2 German Shepherd puppies to Oakwood Kennels 4 years ago to be trained. We didn't want our adorable little puppies to grow up into big misbehaving dogs. We wanted them to be trained so that when people came into our home they would not be afraid of being "mauled" by our dogs. They took our puppies for 3 months and when we got them back they were trained both off leash and on. Our dogs don't jump on people, they enjoy being around other dogs, and obey the commands we give them. Alana, Zack, and Ron were very helpful and kind the entire time. After we got them back they would come over if we were experiencing difficulties and even when we weren't to see how the dogs (and us) were doing. We are so glad that we took our dogs there. During the next four years we have frequently brought our dogs to be kenneled there. We know that they love our dogs and take excellent care of them. They always go above and beyond in their care of our dogs. My husband and I highly recommend Oakwood Kennels.

You know I have been around Oakwood Kennels. Many times. I have left my dogs here for, boarding. Several of my neighbors also leave their dogs here. Never had an issue. Everyone is kind and the place is clean and our dogs are healthy and happy.

I considered getting my dogs trained here. My concern was that they would not have time because they train so many dogs every single month. When I'm there I see at least half a dozen clients meeting and or,training with their dogs.

These guys train 3x more dogs than mans best friends.

So i came,on here to see the reviews. I didnt like some of them. But notice no men wrote anything. Mainly looks like one pissed off women. Do you know, how, many bad reviews mans best friend has lol. A lot more than these guys do.

So,how does a company train so many dogs and not,get but a few bad apples.
It would,be embarrassingly immature if I were to see a couple bad reviews and react like a kid would. I compared, Then I asked, for references.

They gave me over a dozen right in the spot. I wanted to talk to,other, clients in current training and they agreed.

My dogs did,get trained here. Took a,week, longer than expected but thats my fault for, getting in,the way. They were patient with me.

Zack sir. I dont know, how you help so many people and their dogs and, juggle so much and help everyone but it works. Your very very good at your, job.

Thx Oakwood Kennels

Thank you Mr Zack

We just finished training with Zack and here is my opinion...

He can be a little direct but that's what we wanted. No gray areas and no bs. We took our dog for an evaluation from another trainer in Lake Jackson and she charged us $950 dollars and two weeks. When we picked up our dog was no different and the trainer failed him.

Zack trained one of our dogs 2 years ago and we was quoted 6 weeks and our lab came home 2 weeks early and still is VERY impressive and listens to all of our commands.

Our second dog was a rescue. Zack quoted us 4 weeks and it took 6 so I was concerned so I called his office and Zack arranged additional training session for free and showed me why my new rescue dog was taking longer and worked with me & my husband. After that I called around and found out other trainers were sending dogs home and failing them or they charged an astronomical amount to finish training with my dogs types of issues.

Zack trained our dogs and I am so very thankful for him being patient with us and doing so much extra work and time to meet with us and finish training our rescue dog.

Totally different dog! We are VERY VERY pleased and I highly recommend Zack at Oakwood Kennels

Tip! Be patient and you will get more than you pay for, he is just that type of guy.

I paid $2200 for obiedence and service dog training. My coonhound had what looked like severe burns on neck from a shock collar. She had 2 large lacerations, one on her head and the other on her neck, Zack claimed they were from an "allergic reaction to a red wasp sting" and that he had brought her to the vet and was put on antibiotics. No record from his vet of every seeing her. Zack has threatened me with a law suit for giving my review but my attorney states I did nothing wrong. Please do not bring your dogs here. It's a joke! I can be reached through Facebook if you have any questions. Please Beware! Just google his name Zachary FRUIDENBERG. That will explain enough!
