We USED to eat here 3-4 times a week. Even have had business meetings there with 15 people. Tonight my son and I came in for a Togo order. We ordered a salad and a large pizza. We sat at the bar and waited. After 45 minutes I asked the blonde waitress (who was busy as she was the only waitress there) to check on our order (other food was coming out but not ours). After a hour (total) he (the owner) came out and asked what kind of dressing we wanted for the salad. I told him and he went back into the kitchen. 10 minutes later he came out with our order! He asked if we had paid, we said no. At this point no explanation or reasoning why it had taken over a hour to get a salad and pizza. I took my debit card and tossed it down on the box and it fell off. He proceeds to slam my card on the bar, picks up our food and throws it in the floor... "NO FOOD FOR YOU! GET OUT! DON'T EVER COME BACK" (edited for explicit language).

Called a order in and never been treat like I was crap. I felt like I was back in the 1920s everyone looked at me like I didn't belong. I see Anderson is still with color issues. The bartender act like I was aggravating her to get my order. I will never come back again!!!!!

The service was great. The owner was very sweet and attentive. The waitress told us about the specials and continued to come back to make sure everything was OK. The portions are more than adequate for one.

However, the eggplant parmigana was a bit odd. It consisted of pieces of unbreaded eggplant under cheese. I've never had unbreaded eggplant parmigana. It was served over spaghetti marinara. The spaghetti was cooked al dente but there was nothing special about the sauce. Bread was also served with the meal. I thought it was just toasted buttered bread until I saw the take home menu. It was supposed to be garlic bread. There was no taste of garlic on the bread whatsoever.

For dessert, I ordered the baklava that the waitress claimed was really good. I thought it was made in-house. But since the waitress said it was really good, I ordered it anyway. It was served on a liner that comes straight from a box. It was so hard that I couldn't cut through it with my fork.

I challenge anyone to find better pizza than at Red Tomato! Everything from the dough to the sauce is absolute perfection! Also, if you are a fan of Alfredo their sauce is hands down the best. So far I've eaten there 5 times since discovering this hidden jewel and not once has anything been less than amazing! Please if you like pizza, pastas, and calzones this is the place to be. Not only is the food wonderful its the type of place that treats you like family. Try it once and I promise your taste buds will thank me!

I worked there from the time it opened til just last week. I could not work for that men no more.

He talk about his workers behind there back all the time. Important people like the sweet lady from Chamber of Commerce came in just to bring him a newspapers to him, where they advertise his restaurant. He said thanks and walked off. Said a lot more bad thing about the Commerce I can't post on here. I admit the food at start was good, but know he is buying cheap stuff now. I just saying to Let customers pay with cash if u got it. Or walk up yo the bar and make sure your credit card only getting scanned one time. There was a girl there who was scanning people cards and then re scanning it again. Then take the money out of the register and pocketing it. This lady got caught, thank god and does not work there anymore. But me I was the blond that worked only first shift. I tried to stick it out. He would send me out to buy stuff sometimes with my own money and never give me the money I was owed back. There so much more I could say but I don't have a year to write All I needed to write. I give that place 6 months tops. Just warning you to beware with your card, hour I this is not to get cackling at my boss, tough he did me so wrong. This ijust want people to know that and be careful. And to the girls that I know need a,job That is nIt a Place to work. The customer are the only people that made it worth waiting.

Went for the first time Tuesday. Bravo!! Food & service was outstanding!!! Talked to the owner & this isn't a chain restaurant & everything is fresh. He makes his own dough too. Had a calzone & my husband had a small pizza. Prices are reasonable. Even sodas are less than 2.00. The owner told us we need to try his pasta next time. Next time I will!

Exciting to have a restaurant in Anderson that's outstanding. Décor is awesome too! He'll need more parking!!
