Dr Roy, his assistant Rhonda and the entire staff at Piedmont Neurosurgery & Spine and top notch. Be prepared for an honest straight forward assessment of your condition and he is not knife happy either. He performed a 3 disk removal and spinal fusion in my neck with a plate and screws and his surgery was excellent. I am in the process of recovering from an L4 and L5 Spinal decompression where my spinal cord was so compressed it was in the shape of a triangle with not a fraction of space anywhere. He always has you stay overnight in the hospital for observation, pain management and to make sure the surgery had no complications. I think in this respect he truly goes above and beyond. I still have a lot of surgical pain where he opened me up but I know that is to be expected. If you are suffering from pain and want to see if surgery is an option I highly recommend Dr. Roy,Rhonda his PA and the entire staff as they do a fa nominal job. I am so happy to have been referred to him as he is outside of any conglomerate but he is so good those doctors still refer patients to him as we were but in our case our primary care physician treats us as family and we treat him as family as well so he said I would use him or I would send any of my own family to Dr. Roy speaks volumes.
