Pannone Engineering Service runs a very ethically questionable business. Mr. Pannone passed a septic on a home that we bought in 2014 when it was 28yrs old and 95% at capacity (this was not disclosed to us, read further for more info). No other engineer that is worth their salt would have even considered passing a septic of that age and capacity. Furthermore, his office failed to attach the letter that very inertly added this tidbit, 3/4 way down on an added page to the COSA. When PES was contacted regarding this, they claimed to have sent the attached letter, yet no longer have the original e-mail correspondence to prove this. Thankfully, the realtor did have the original email traffic which shows PES did NOT attach the letter. They did submit the letter to the municipality of Anchorage yet they never sent it to the realtors and therefore, it was a non-disclosed item to us as the buyers as a result. I called PES several times in attempt to discuss the situation and see if there was anything their office could do in restitution for their portion of the issue. Mr. Pannone responded with an abrupt and accusatory e-mail of it not being their legal problem and somehow being my fault as the buyer for not catching it. That is not my job as a consumer. Any rational engineer would not expect someone outside their field to dissect their certifications. For Mr. Pannone to be so defensive and irrational leads me to believe that he knows he violated his ethical conduct as an engineer and is only worried about his license. Again, I have each e-mail from them which clearly displays their lack of professionalism, compassion and just downright poor customer service and complete lack of ethical decision making.
