When founded in 1992, The Walt Disney Company owned the Mighty Ducks. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks are a National Hockey League team based in Anaheim, Calif. Its home arena is at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim. Its uniform colors are maroon and green, and feature a hockey mask forming a duck s beak, in front of two crossed hockey sticks. The Duck s best playoff performance in franchise history was during the 2002-03 season, which saw the Duck s come within one game of the Stanley Cup. In its 2003-04 season, the Duck s ended with a 29-35-10 overall record. It has no Hall of Famers, but has retired Wayne Gretzky s number 99.
