I am a fan of Benjamin Moore paint because of its excellent quality, but my experience buying Benjamin Moore paint at Crook's Paint has been anything but excellent. I recently went into Crook's paint store in Americus and requested a can of MoorGlo Soft Gloss from Crook himself because I didn't see it on the shelf. Crook presented to me a can of Coronado Crylicote and told me it was what MoorGlo is now and that they had changed it. I asked why the would change one of their best paints and told me he didn't know its just what the can looks like now. I purchased the paint to paint the trim on my house. When I started using it I noticed this paint was much thinner than MoorGlo. I then looked up both paints online and found that the paints were different in many ways. The Coronado Paint is not even an official Benjamin Moore paint it is a Benjamin Moore company. He sold me a much cheaper quality paint than the one that I had originally asked him for. I suggest finding another Benjamin Moore retailer because this was not even the first time I have had a bad experience at this store. One of my first visits he mismatched two cans of paint and after realized the color was not going to dry a different color I had used a can and was about to start on the second. I took both cans back to his store and he would not refund the empty can even though he had messed up the color. In short, go to Sherwin Williams if you need paint in Americus!
