Matt Thompson is both a very nice, friendly, compassionate person and a good responsive, accommodating business many who knows his stuff. When my dad died in an assisted living facility in Eau Claire, far from his home in the U.P., we weren't sure what to do. Chippewa Valley Cremation was recommended to us by a couple hospice staff members. He explained clearly what papers my mom needed to sign for the cremation, informed the VA of my dad's death and obtained the US flag for my dad. He patiently posted a couple updates to the obit that we posted on the crematory website. He never put us off even when we, at the last minute, requested a second viewing for unexpecte, late-arriving relatives. I recommend Matt and Chippewa Valley Cremation without reservation.

After the death of my Aunt I was flustered because I was in California and she had passed in Altoona. I used Matt Thompson for my father's funeral many years ago when he was with another funeral home. I was so pleased with him then and found that he was no with Chippewa Valley Cremation.



He returned my many calls immediately and always in good spirtis. He helped with every aspect of the viewing, funeral, internment. The phtoto dvd and the videographer were excellent. He did everything at a resonable cost, but always providing dignity.



He is caring and knows his business. I cannot recommend him more highly.

When my Father passed away suddenly as a result of an out of state accident, my wife and I had no idea what to do. But one call to Matt Thompson was all it took. Matt handled everything, including having my Father's remains returned to Wisconsin, completion of all of the legal paperwork, submission of obituaries and funeral services. He even took the time to hand deliver to us Dad's personal items that were on him at the time of death and sent back to Wisconsin.



Matt's professionalism, compassion, and sensitivity to our situation during this difficult time were greatly appreciated and made it possible for us to put our Dad to rest in a highly respectful manner.
