The service tech was excellent, he fixed the continual leaking water problem of the Freezer caused by a frozen drain. This has been going on for a number of years, this is the first person tried determine the cause, and not just address the surface issue. He took time to look at the line and determine that there was a kink in it causing the frozen line problem. For the Tech I would rate as a 5 Star.

Th down side is that it took two weeks for Sears to him the tech out to our home. For that I would rate Sears as one to two Stars, mostly because this issue of taking from 5 days to 14 days to come to diagnose the problem, then because of limited suppliers they usually takes from 7 to 10 days to get the parts if one is required.

I waited a week for an appointment. The gentleman fixed my washer and said everything was done and left. My husband put a load of wash on immediately and bleach ran all over the floor. I called right away to have him come back. I had some foreign country who said she was leaving a message and I would hear from someone. Three hours later I called again-got the same script. Called again a few hours later. Five days later no one has called. I could have made another appt and wait another week and paid another 79.00 fee. Will never call Sears repair again. I ended up calling a local repairman and he came out two hours later and was a lot less expensive.

Our dryer repairman gets a 5 stars. He was on time, knowledgable, professional and friendly. The 3 starts is for Sears who couldn't schedule someone to come out sooner than a week. My machine is under warranty. Considering Sears is a large company, I would expect someone to be in my home within 48 hours.

I needed a tech to check out my washer which was still under warranty. The first tech came out, right on time, very kind and got straight to work. He showed me the issue - which fixed the problem - but went ahead and ordered a part to ensure I wouldn't have a problem in the future. Once parts were delivered to my house, the second tech came who was just wonderful! I was SO SO pleased with both guys and my husband was elated he didn't have to add another thing to his honey-Do list.

Worst ever. Ice maker was just low on ice, and after 10 visits to replace parts and then say unrepairable. Each tech acted like they knew what the problem was, and each time the they left it, it made less and less. Now makes none. The pic is how they left it the last time, not how it looked before. Fridge is only 6 years old and they are giving us $500 for a new fridge that cost $1800. So basically a bill for $1000 at least. Nice scam Sears.

Sorry to hear a lot of you have had problems. I had set up two work orders online because it wouldn't let me add a second service. I scheduled for Saturday morning, I got emails and text messages updating me and a call from the technician to say he was on his way. My problem was not with my dryer, it was vent that needed to be cleaned out, but the technician showed me how he came to that conclusion. I also had my washer looked at after a recent move it was making a bit of a clank noise on the spine cycle. He checked some things, tilted it and looked at it while it was spinning and said that the transmission looked like it was a little bent (probably too many off balance loads) and that he didn't think it was anything to worry about. I was overall happy with the technician and how he was explaining things to me as he was looking things over. I was just bummed that I had to pay $129 for them to tell me it wasn't my dryer.

I have had multiple repairs to the same part for this refrigerator and still it is not working. The last service call the refrigerator only worked for two hours after the call I have had multiple occasions where the wrong part was shipped out for the repair

I called to have microwave serviced. On website there was no choice for microwave on pull down and the site said that service call would be $99. Once technician arrived, I was told that servicing a microwave would be $249. So, I opted to have microwave looked at and of course it was unrepairable so I was out $249. I asked technician he had any coupons for Sears in case I was to buy a replacement microwave he did. I will not call Sears again the expense for just looking at your appliance seems exorbitant.

Great workmanship but too many appointment cancellations without a call to explain. This is unacceptable..

This pertains to the kenmore washing machine under waranty. We have problems with this machine and reported it early November 2015. After 6 tech visits spread over until Jan 8 2016 and cahnge of parts, the problem of clothes getting tangled still persists. Each time a different tech comes. One just looks at the lights and interprets the error codes and concludes there is no problem. Another comes, observes the washer running and diagnoses the transmission problema nd recommends change of parts. He does not even look at the error code. A third person visits and changes the parts. He would not tell his name as he says he is afraid of his and his family security. A fourth visit by the first computer guy (who originally concluded the machine does not need any service!) comes back and adds another part and recommends change of the inlet hoses from flood safe type to the regular type. Another visitby a tech to change the control board. The last visit on Jan 8 by the first tech who again looks at the flashing lights and concludes there is nothing to be done for the washer; insists on the change of inlet hoses; spent $40 to get the hoses changed and tfound the problem is not solved (did not really expect that - only the tech thought so). The best help we can get from Sears at this stage is to have this lemon hauled away at NO COST to us. If they cannot fix this problem in 2 months - the washer could not really be used all these days), they need to realized this.

It's too bad I have to give any stars. 4 days after the tech repaired my 16 month old LG frig, at a cost of $480, I still don't have a frig that works! The customer service people were horrible and lied just to get me off the phone. I tried to have someone back to fix on the 24th but they they dec 30. I was told I was on an emergency list but then the next tech said I wasn't but he would add. Another tech said they would call at noon nut never called back...on and on this went. I have a house full of out of town company and have had to prepare 3 dinners and daily breakfasts with no refrigerator. Thanks Sears!

The Tech (Tech ID- 0008035 per receipt) was awesome. On time, communicated excellent and kept me informed during the entire "tune-up" process for all 5 of my appliances.

Customer Communication

My husband took his company vehicle for an overnight brake service. The quality of the work was good and the vehicle was left clean, however the communication with the auto team leaves much to be desired. They never called to provide any pick-up update even though he asked to be called. We barely made it there, a few minutes before the store closed on Sunday, otherwise he would have had to wait until Monday morning to pick up his truck. Staffing concern??????

Becarful from thier insurance.

They will try to sell you $22 insurance for 3 years for a used unit but, when the unit does not work after a month they will give you another used unit and will ask you to pay again insurance $22 dollar since the previous insurance was covered the other unit. I never pay again, all units have a one year insurance for free and they will never tell you about it. Bottom line do not pay money for insurance !!!

Save Yourself The Trouble

I will start off by saying; I was put on infinite hold for 10 minutes and decided to hang up. After calling back a few minutes later, I spoke to a customer service rep who scheduled the service for the next day. Guess what! No one showed up and when I called back the customer service rep said I didn\u2019t have anything scheduled for today. Then the rep proceeded to tell me there is no record for the call so \u201cI did not call to schedule an appointment\u201d. Yes, they told me I didn\u2019t do something I actually did. SOOOO SMART!

I asked to be connected to a manager and yes she told me the SAME THING! They wouldn\u2019t reschedule for the same day but put me off for yet another day.

Also, the service fee is $85 to just have them come out to look at the unit. On average $40 higher than anyone else, plus they don\u2019t deduct it from the overall charge like many other service companies do.
