Thank God for Dana. She made it a pleasure. I feel empowered and also realize I am inadequate and efficient in many areas.

This institution is absolutely horrible. It is the aqivelent of a state prison and I'm not even just talking about the food.I could go on and on about white deer run but I'm going to keep it short and sweet.. Do not go to or send your children here you will regret it and you will not be able to talk to them and if you do it will be on speaker phone, the techs will add their 2 cents to everything you conversate about. But if you don't take my advise and find another rehab when you attend this place you will learn for yourself and when you decide to leave I wish you luck they will give you the run around for days and try everything in their power to keep you there because they are all trained to try their hardest to keep you there because if you leave they will be missing out on thousands of insurance or county funds that they would receive . But if you are finally successful at leaving they will drop you off at the bottom of the mountain rain, snow, day, night in the middle of no where and they let you figure it out yourself. They do give you a call to try and get a ride but you only get ONE call,no exceptions . So hopefully your ride answers the first time you call them on an unknown number because if not good luck walking 5 miles to the closest gas station to try and use the phone . But what's even worse about that is they warned the gas station owners not to let anyone that asks to use the phone. They have all bases covered when it comes to collecting every dollar they can. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there . Please take my advise and find somewhere else .

Traumatic experience. Counselors don't care about anyone except their "favorites". Unhealthy food with no accommodations for diabetic or vegetarian clients. Poor healthcare for those that get an illness there (called the "White Deer Run Plague). Only allowed in your room 2 hours a day except for sleeping, which leads to poor hygiene when 2 girls share a room.

Horrible! I've never seen anything like it and I've been to 17 facilities throughout my addiction. I had 16 months of sobriety before my relapse and recovery is about love and tolerance and spirituality . This place lacks it all! I've seen jails better than this place .

The staff were heard personally by myself, talking badly about others. The

staff also refused to give me my belongings when I wanted to leave (it is not a jail). I asked numerous times for my belongings and medications, that I brought in myself courtesy of my insurance co. not WDR. I than verbally pulled all consents to speak to anyone regarding myself, and later found out that "my counselor" than went ahead and talked to authorities and family without any approval from myself. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WHITE DEER RUN, ALLENWOOD TO ANYONE!!! MORE STRESS THAN RELIEVE!!!

I have had a positive experience here.  I’m not here for a vacation.  Being a recovery facility, I’ve had access to exercise, eat well and learn many coping skills to deal with my addition and change my poor attitude and behaviours.
