Disappointment hurts when your hungry for Thai

I was hoping the food we be good because we need a Thai place on this side of town. I am tired of driving to Plano for affordable food. And I was terribly disappointed. The young lady that greeted us was incredibly friendly and brought us a glass of water while we decided what we wanted to order to go. We placed our order and were prepared to wait the requested 10 - 15 minutes, despite being the only people in the resaraunt. I order chicken with my entree and my husband ordered beef. About 10 minutes in to our wait, the waitress came over and asked if we'd mind switching our entrees since they accidently prepared them wrong. Since this wasn't acceptable since wasn' eating beef, we waited for them to prepare our meals correctly. Again, it smelled great inside, so I was super hungry when we left with our to-go order. We got home and jumped right in to the food. My "Thai Cafe" fried rice with chicken was completely tasteless. I ordered "medium" and the waitress even verified if I was familiar with how hot Thai food is, and I said, yes, please "medium". My husband's beef and noodles were less flavorful and also had no heat. I can say the flavor of the soup was great, but it had several somethings in it that were unrecognizable. They might have been dried out water chestnuts or uncooked noodles. Unsure? The spring rolls were good, but probably because they were hot. I wouldn't return and I would not recommend.

Sorry for the bad experience with Thai Cafe. I would like to let you know that Thai Cafe has changed the management. The restaurant was taken over since November 2009. Since then, we have received several positive feedbacks and we hope that you will give us another chance. Please check out our new website www.thaicafedfw.com
