These guys were sent out by my Warranty company so I didn't get to choose them.
I have a pool heater that refused to turn on all weekend.
The tech turns up and the damn thing turns on straight away. So there is clearly some sort of intermittent issue.
But he was not remotely interested in trying to work out what might be intermittent. No fault finding or checks at all. He didn't even want to take the side panel off to look at it. As an electrical engineer I was leading him to try and fault find, but he simply couldn't be bothered.

He claimed the warranty company wouldn't cover it, but that's no excuse for not even looking. So it cost me $75 for 5mins with someone that couldn't care less if it worked or not. Highly unprofessional.

Awful service! Just purchased a home with a pool 4 months ago and called for service through our home warranty as the pump stopped working. They send SouthWest and the technician reports that there was too much acid in the water and puts the blame on us saying it was caused by a user problem, virtually putting the cost of the repair on us and the home warranty refused our claim. Four months of treating pool water to ruin a motor??? I don't think so. Took photos of the corrosion and sent it to other pool companies to be told this type of corrosion takes time time to develop. Thanks SouthWest for undermining our legitimate claim. Now we have to fight it out with the home warranty company due to your bad reporting and inexperience in not realizing we are the victims here and inherited a problem from the previous owner.
