PetSmart is wonderful, however, my experience with the veterinarian, Banfield,adjacent to the store, is disappointing. It had been a while since we owned any pets My husband and I brought in an abandoned litter of 5 month old cats for spaying and neutering. Little information was given to us regarding what to expect after the procedure, or alternatives for how to care for the kittens afterward. We were told when we picked the kittens up, after the procedure, that the females would have to be kept separately from the males. This created logistical challenges for us because the cats were generally outside cats, and we did not have a predetermined plan for where in the house we could keep the cats separately. Also learned afterward being told to buy Elizabethan collars from PetSmart because the vet was out, that there are more humane collars. Nails were also cut without our permission, amongst several other things. Routine care may be o.k. but would not recommend surgical procedures
