By far the worst shoe repair shop that I have ever given my business. This shop has had my 3 pair of boots for alteration for one month. When I called to find out the status today; one of the numerous times, the lady told me that she was busy this week and didn't have time to work on my boots. Even though she promised me that they old be done no later than January 29th. I would have gotten my boots back to take them somewhere else, but she already cut the leather and cut too much on a pair of my boots. The lady stated to me that she has to figure out a way to fix my boots, even though she measured how much needed to be taken out before hand. It is very clear that this shop doesn't value my business, so I will NEVER go back again.

My mom's dog had chewed the heel of one of my shoes. I had brought the shoe to another place where they held it for weeks and ended up messing up my shoe even more and not fixing the problem. I went to Alexandria Shoe repair. Not only did they fix my shoe and matched the leather perfectly they did it in under a week. The owner and his wife were very nice. When I picked picked up my shoes I couldn't even tell which one was messed up to begin with and it only cost me $30!

This is more than your basic shoe repair shop. Its a family business that has been around more than 100 years. So a lot of love, knowledge, and experience goes into every repair.



I have been nothing short of pleasantly impressed with all of my shoe repairs. And, recommend this shop for numerous reasons. If you cherish your shoes like I do, then this is your place for repairs.



True Story - I was complimenting a pair of boots sitting on the shelf waiting for pick up. They were a black cloth tall boots with ribbon detailing down the front. Little did I know that this shop repaired a unseen rip with the ribbon.



Its a love for repairing shoes, that you will not see in any other shoe repair shop. Its the feeling of experience and knowledge that you will need feel in any other shoe repair shop. Its knowing that not only is this a business, but its also a family legacy. Not to mention, the welcoming and cozy feeling you get from the moment you open the door.
