We purchased a new two speed furnace and a water heater from Thompson. The thermostat, a Pro 1 755 that was part of the package did not work properly.Thompson sent out a technician who said there was nothing wrong with the thermostat and refused to replace it. The thermostat showed 72 degrees when a thermometer showed 65 degrees. When the thermostat came on, it would pass the set point (again monitored by a thermometer) while displaying a lower temperature. Until I manually shut the unit down and then it displayed a temperature about 3-5 degrees warmer.I purchased a Honeywell wireless thermostat which works fine, no thanks to Thompson. I am going to send the faulty thermostat back to Thomson and they can sell it to someone else.

I have been noticing that our A/C unit had not been cooling like I thought that it should and so I called Thompson as I had in the past. Mark arrived on time and was so professional. He looked at everything very carefully and took care of the problem quickly. When he was checking out the units he said if you have new filters I would be glad to replace them while I here. There was not an extra charge just extra care given to a customer.I have used Thompson heating and cooling for the past 12 years and have always felt like our needs were taken care of and I never have felt like I was being sold something that I didn't need.If you are looking for an honest professional company to call for your home or business I recommend Thompson Heating and Cooling
