La Salita means, “The Little Room”, and our Purpose is to, “Transform every new guest into a regular guest, through comforting food, lasting friendships, and a foundation of family. The history of La Salita Restaurant began over 40 years ago with an Armenian couple that had a passion for serving delicious food and entertaining people. They Hired a young, spirited Italian server, Cindy, who would end up taking La Salita to the next level. Cindy learned so much about people and food from her mentors, and spent the next few decades building a restaurant that values relationships with the community and serving quality homemade New Mexican food. Yes, a young Italian woman decided that the flavors of New Mexico, paired with a nature to serve, would be the canvas for her future. A little hole-in-the-wall restaurant has grown to a full service, home-away-from-home for locals and travelers alike. Everyday, we work to maintain Cindy’s spirit and commitment towards consistency, quality, and most importantly, a connection to the community that has made her restaurant a success after all these years. Today, the next generation of the family has taken over the daily operations of the restaurant. Cindy’s daughter and son, Stephanie and James, oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and its crew. Cindy’s son-in-law, Erik Eddings, is the General Manager of the restaurant, as well as the driving force behind the growth and expansion of La Salita. Sarah Turner, Assistant General Manager, has climbed the ladder from server to manager and assists in the daily operations of the restaurant. For many years, Rory Balderrama has been the friendly face and the leader of the dining room, tirelessly creating and maintaining the amazing relationships we have with our community.

FABULOUS!

Living up in the nw corner of New Mexico, we drive to Albuquerque several times a year, usually for an overnight stay. La Salida is great New Mexican food. Have never had a bad meal there....It is very busy...which shows how great it is. Get there early or do stay and wait for a table, it will be well worth it to you. Enjoy!

Outstanding!

This is a favorite restaurant! The food is mouth-watering and delicious, the service is great, the noise level is a bit much because it's so busy. The prices are great and this is a regular for our family. The Wednesday special is exceptionally good!
