Empire Yard Maintenance did amazing work, really transforming our yard for us! We paid exactly as quoted, the work was done even faster than expected and while we were at work, which was really convenient! I'd highly recommend them and will be back for regular maintenance and when we're ready to add some new plants. Our yard was a real disaster - just dirt, weeds, and goatheads in the back, and the front was messy with overgrown rose bushes and an unfortunate dead yucca tree. They removed the yucca, added more gravel, took care of the rose bushes in the front and it looks so much better. In the back, they cleared out all the weeds and debris, put down gravel in the yard as we had wanted and built a new, awesome Flagstone patio. We love it so much! This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. We called and made an appointment with Dave to come look at our yard for a landscaping quote, but he missed the appointment without a phone call. We called him the next day, and he agreed to come by "sometime in the next few days to look at it." Again, no show, no call. Save your time, and don't bother with these guys.

We contracted with David Peltz and Empire Yard Maintenance two years ago to regularly maintain the xeriscaping and drip irrigation system for a rental property we own. The system must be drained and shut down for the winter, and turned back on in the spring, the timer batteries may need replacement, water lines and emitters can get clogged or broken, and the water filter needs to be replaced occasionally, etc. And if the plants die they need to be replaced. Empire checked the system a few times, then never came back. We did not know the xeriscaping was being seriously neglected until the tenant called us and told us the plants were dying and one of the drip lines was broken and shooting water into the air. I called Dave Peltz, who admitted he'd forgotten about the property. He offered to go check on it the following week, but then he didn't show up.

It's much more expensive to replace dead plants and make major repairs to the irrigation system than it would be to maintain it regularly. I recommend you find someone reliable.
