Sunset Recreation in my opinion, is one of the best and friendliest places to bowl in the Capital District. I've been bowling there since I was 15 years old. I won't tell you how old I am now. (There's not enough space in this box.) But,--- It's been over 40 + years. George Hoffman, who is owner and proprietor, has updated this establishment, and has made it aboundantly better through out the years he's had it. Prices are competitive, along with the great house tournaments Sunset puts on. George even puts out some trays of food during the tournament, which I thought was pretty darn nice. They even do fun things for New Years Eve, and several other parties. Most importantly, the lanes are high scoring, with just minimum problems with the pin setters. Everything is computer controlled, so you can just relax and bowl with comfort. It's been a big part of my life all these years, and If I didn't like it, I wouldn't write about it. Try it, ---- you'll like it!
