Reflects a consultation with Attorney Smith over child custody:



Mr. Smith likes to do all of the talking during his consultations. His goal is to explain to the client how the court works, specifically in Aiken. He explains, "this is how we do it around here".



When trying to give him context to my particular case he replied each time with, "put it in your affidavit".



At one point Mr. Smith explained that joint custody was inevitable and that the father would have some weekends with the child and full weeks at a time during summer. I replied, "I do not know if I am ok with that considering his living arrangements or lack of". Mr. Smith replied, "I DON'T CARE" paused with a stare and said, "thats the way it is- Don't shake your head at me over there."



Mr. Smith did say his defense would be to say nice things about the plaintiff - at least in the beginning.



In all, Mr. Smith seemed to be content with just the $200 consultation fee, not caring whether or not he was hired for the actual case. It leaves one taken a back when spoken to by a "professional" in such a rude manner. If I had one word to describe Attorney Gary H. Smith's behavior It would be, pompous.
