Worst meal in recent memory. Will never happen again.

Flat drinks, dirty dining room, dry baked potato (apparently butter extra on a $25 meal) steaks had to be sent back - dirty beer glasses.

Safe the money go somewhere nice

Eat there often - salads, burgers, dinners. Everyone has always liked their food (served hot),great service and excellent prices. They worked out problems I heard they had in reviews you show from 2012...two years ago and are doing a high volume of business.

Yesterday hubby and I went to Kaptain Jimmy's in Agawam for lunch (this would be our 3rd time. The first 2 weren't very good but thought, a year later, we'd give it another shot). We were seated by an obviously very hungover and rude hostess who's eye makeup had run dark streaks under her eyes. It took the waitress 15 minutes to get to us with menus and ONE glass of water. The breakfast buffet was still out even though it was 12:30 and breakfast was over. Busboys were sitting with patrons in booths (even with dirty tables all around us) and the wait-staff was severely under staffed. After 20 minutes our order still hadn't been taken so we had enough and walked out. Not one person acknowledged us leaving! What a terrible place to go.

The food was fantastic, and served hot. I think that's really important. The drink delivery was a bit off, I don't think they have the staff trained very well, by the time I got my drink, the ice was melting. Not a big deal!

I see people's reviews and I tell ya the wife and I were there tonite and we had the best experience for dining there food was great waitress was good price was rite if u ever have a chance to go to kj's please do it I give 5 star can I suggest the honey maple butter {it's out of this world}.

My husband and I were looking forward to a nice dinner in a fun, new restaraunt. My husband ordered his normal drink with exact instructions on how it should be made only for to come to the table completely wrong, but that was ok. Salad came and the "vingerettes" for dressings were not vingerettes and our waitress was told by the kitchen they had run out of both oil and vinager. I ordered ribs and my husband ordered the surfs up. The lobster was excellent, the filet was microwaved and the potatoes were a boiled heap and disgusting. I took one bite out of my ribs and spit it into my napkin. After pulling apart the ribs, we found the ribs were nothing but cartilage covered in bbq sauce. After sending them back, you would think the manager would come over. Thats a joke. Instead he was in the middle of the dining room with the waitresses, tipping them out and was arguing with one of them while people are eating. Thats what an office is for, completely unprofessional and annoying. The waitresses themselves wear "pirate themed outfits" that they put together themselves. Im sorry but while I am eating I do not want to see three waitresses wearing skirts that barely cover their asses (literally). Our waitress did her best and felt very bad about the experience. She was very nice and quick, which is why I gave Kaptain Jimmy's two stars. One for her service and one for the lobster. However, if you are going just to drink, I can see it being a good place to just sit at the bar and enjoy the company of our friends/spouse. But if you are going for dinner, mcdonalds is right down the street, you are much better of.

visited few days after opening...should have waited...portions were too small for the prices, food not hot enough, although it tasted ok...Bread was hard...coffee cups way too small; had to constanly be refilled; waitress was very good...Will try it again but hope it improves

Enjoyed the food,Server was also a plus...one employee walking around like she was so far above everyone else. Heard her talking trash about one of the cooks,sooooo not nice,when she noticed people were actually listening to her,she finally switched to greek.well guess what deary I'm greek! You need a attitude ajustment..It's people like you who make or break a new business..Sorry to say this,but hope your not there the next time I visit the restaurant!!!!! You rate below a half a star!
