I've now been to Dr. H at Mountainview Chiropractic two times. The first time I felt like never returning and after the second time, I am convinced. Dr. H is probably an excellent chiropractor, the problem is that he delivers minimal treatment in a transparent attempt to get you to return again, and again, and again. Efforts at financial gain in business are necessary, however the approach I witnessed by him and his office is unscrupulous. I am a student, so I cannot afford nor wish to visit his office once a week (for example) for the rest of my life. Both times, Dr. H spent a significant portion of the duration of my visit making small talk instead of adjusting my painful back, especially at our initial consultation, which is the most expensive visit of all. On his website, he says that he devotes significant attention to patient education. I find this humorous because he talks at such overabundant and extraneous lengths that it is clearly (to me) a tactic to adjust less and talk more. One of his receptionists is particularly rude, if you make it seem like you're not going to keep coughing up the dough. When I did not reschedule with her after my initial appointment, she said to me, 'Well, you don't want to be in pain do you?' Then this afternoon, when I cancelled a third appointment that I had foolishly made, because I have had enough, and declined rescheduling, the receptionist said, 'Well, FINE.' I feel used.
