I brought in a silver watch that stopped working, had been in my jewelry box for a long time. I brought the watch and a gold chain with gold crucifix with a broken with missing ring to run the chain through. Both items were repaired in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. My hubby was pleased to be able to wear his crucifix again! Re: the watch, the stem came out into my hand when I tried to change the time during daylight savings time. The watch is back in the jewelry box. I hadn't contacted the shop regarding the issue.

I am sorry to communicate this message to you via Facebook, but I have no other contact information for you. Having returned from the weekend, I was saddened to read your social media posting and campaign regarding your mother’s stones that she left at my store in 2015 for whatever reason. We are so sorry to hear about your loss, your mother was a very sweet women. Unfortunately in our situation we cannot just hand items over to anyone who walks up stating that they want their mother’s things. As you nor your stepfather provided any identification—nor anything else that connected you to your mother. Good business practice compelled us to decline your request for the property that you could demonstrate no legitimate claim to. Unfortunately, we sometimes encounter people who try to claim property which is not their own. For protection of all of our customers as well as our business, we must guard against such fraudulent conduct. We would hope that you would understand this policy. We are very saddened how things have turned out, I’m sure this is not what your mother intended. If you would be good enough to provide us with evidence of your mother’s sadly passing as well as next to kind or head of her estate, I will be only too happy to return the stones your mother left with me to you.
Again we are very sorry, and pray that your family will find peace.
