A great job repairing my Veracruz after being in an accident. Not my first visit to Automotive Specialties, but I won't go anywhere else. Trustworthy, honest and a job well done. They worked closely with the insurance company and other towing company to take all the headache off my plate. More businesses should be this conscientious.

4 x 4 went out and the estimate from another shop was 1300 bucks so i went in to Automotive Specialties and had them check it out. Kind staff and fast work. Got the truck back that day and they took the time to run through the wiring harness and found a bad wire. Fixed it for 60 bucks. I guess it can go both ways...the other quote was 1300 so i expected to pay 1300 plus diagnostics fee. 1360 but instead the little extra effort saved me 1240. This place is the real deal. Good work for a fair price. If you want it done correctly go see them. This is my 8 visit or so and its the same every time. JOB WELL DONE...Thanks

I came to the shop to have them install a few parts. The serp. belt was no issue.They pointed out a larger issue that needed to be addressed. I was appreciative of that, but from there it all went wrong. They ordered the part, took apart the car and it was the wrong part. To which I had to pay for dis-assembly and assembly. Still needed the part and they ordered it again and the same happened. Instead of taking to small claims court which would cost more time and effort than it is worth I am letting people know of my experience. I took my car to another place in Plano, which I won't mention in this review, but they were able to source and install the part without issue and for cheaper. I am sure when things go right 95% of the time in repairs this company is professional and convenient, however it is the 5% which is the most important. From my standpoint it would be well worth anyone's time to take your business elsewhere.

I've taken 3 vehicles to Automotive Specialties and have been very please with the service and the work.One car had been in an accident and had to have multiple panels replaced. Not only did the parts fit perfectly, but the paint job was an excellent match.Our SUV had to have a new transmission and it has run perfectly since having it replaced. I've taken our cars in on many occasions for serving and have always been happy with the work and the punctuality of the service. Automotive Specialties is off the beaten path but worth it to me to take my vehicles there to for servicing.

When i took my car in for a paint job i was told it would take 1 month.It had about 6 small rust holes and some car dings also to be fixed. I got my car back 1 day short of 10 months.Cars would come and go that came in after mine.In three weeks they striped 2/3 of the to bare metal, which sat exposed to the elements for about 4 months. When i went to check on the progress and to find out why it was taking so long,He got an attitude and told me to get the car out of here.2/3of the car had bare metal,one door was off, the window was out and most of the lights and hardware where off the car.I had already given him a $1000.00 down. When i would go down there he would always tell me this or that would be done in two weeks,It never was. He was to call me when he fixed the rust holes,so I could check it out,he never did. When I went down again after not hearing from for awhile, the rust hole where covered over the orginal metal with metal patches. He said he cut out the rust holes out before putting the patches on. But I' not sure he never called so I could check it out. They had to build-up the over lap metal with alot of bondo to blend the over lap. I think it should of been cut out and a flanged piece of metal welded in the spot, so it would of been flush with little or no bondo,and there would be no place for moisture to collect. When I would ask him a question on something, I would get a attitude or angry response. Also when I would call him, he was always busy or out on tow. I was told he would call back but he never returned any of my calls. I bought a new back bumper cover , because he said it would be less work than the old one., they said it took 6hrs of labor to make it fit. But when I checked it out I could not see any modlfication to the bumper. Olso 4hrs labor to soda blast(clean) window and latch tracks,the parts were already removed to refinish the doors and 4hrs to put new bushing in 2 doors which were already off. These three things cost me $700.00 more than the original quote on labor. They did do a good job on the finish look and the dings. But I would never go back there again, not with the experience I had. The attitude and false promises, and it taking 10 times longer than the 1 month he told me. I was not happy with the patch work, I think it should of been done differently Customer service is the worst I'd ever seen or dealt with.

I have searched high and low for a auto mechanical service center to do honest work on my 4 vehicles. I moved to Yorkville IL. and found automotive Specialties of Yorkville il. These folks give you an honest assessment of your cars problems and then fix it right the first time. The mechanics are amazing and actually use torque wrenches :)They were the ONLY repair center in in Kendal and Du-page county that was able to repair my Hyundai seat belt sensor.

Recently I was in a fender bender. I received a competetive and professional estimate then scheduled service and brought in my 2010 Toyota for body work repair. They completed the work on time and it looks great. They kept me informed throughout the process and worked with my company accordingly. I have known Rich and Leslie for years as they repair all the vehicles for the company I used to work for. I recently had a small accident and needed repair myself. Automotive Specialties was my first choice!!! I was not disappointed. From Rich's superb knowledge of vehicles to the quick and fantastic job he did repairing my car - I could NOT ask for more. I cannot recommend them high enough!!! When it comes to any thing you could use for your car - Automotive Specialties can do it!

I recently used Lucas Automotive upon recommendation from a Yorkville firefighter and was not disappointed. My car broke down on Easter and Lucas towed it without charging an extra "holiday/Sunday" fee, and diagnosed the problem the next day. Unfortunately, I needed a new engine and decided not to put the money into a 10yr old car, but Lucas was patient in waiting for my decision and was helpful when I sold the car from their lot, by removing my plates and mailing them to me. Thanks Lucas!

My first truck was bought at an auction totaled and I took it to Automotive Specialties where it was fixed in 1996. On my third truck now I still trust the experts at Automotive Specialties.
