I was about to consider moving here. Glad i did not. My place at where I am now seems much better to me lol.

I lived at this hell hole from summer of 2009 to spring of 2011. Let me be very clear. Stay away from this terrible, terrible place. I could write an entire novel about all the things that were wrong with this place when I was there, but to sum it all up:

1. LOUD you hear everything. I mean everything. People talking at normal volumes above, below, and beside you.

2. Sketchy people- They don't just rent out to people who go to Penn State York

3. Bad area- When I lived there a man crashed his car out front of the building, and when they pulled the guy out of the car he had been shot to death. We heard a drive by shooting, several people's cars were stolen. The neighborhood kids throw rocks at the cars in the parking lot. Seriously i could go on for days....

4. The security staff was ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS.

5. I know the management is different at this apartment now, but when I was there they were all a bunch of crooks. In two years we had about 5 different managers all of them fired for some unsavory activity.

6. I needed earplugs to sleep almost every night.

7. Not enough parking, have to park on the street in a bad neighborhood and risk vandalism to my car.



WORDS CANNOT ACCURATELY DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I HATED LIVING AT THIS PLACE. To this day I still feel as though I missed out on two years of a real college experience. There is a deep, fiery hatred that runs through the very foundations of my soul for this apartment building and many of the "people" who lived there. Please, just dont live here even if its just for the sake of the noise believe me anywhere is better than this place. ANYTHING IS AN IMPROVEMENT. If you can survive two years at this place (at least when I lived there) then you can survive anything. You can weather any storm, you can overcome any obstacle. Why? Because you lived at the Apex 550 lofts in York, PA. May God have mercy on your soul.

My fiance lives here and attends Penn State York. I do not feel safe with her living in this place. There has been a sharp increase in burglaries and even robberies occurring right outside the entrance. There has been no mention of an increase in security and honestly I fear for her safety. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If that isn't enough, the apartments are not soundproof at all. You can have conversations with the person living below you it's so bad. Also, their internet connect sucks. I could probably write an essay how the negatives but the complete lack of safety should be enough.
